Job : Snowflake Deployment Engineer

Location : Remote

Duration : 6 months

Rate : $75 to $80 / hr w2

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Deployment Engineer to design, implement, and optimize Snowflake environments that enable scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Snowflake deployments in enterprise settings, understands data engineering best practices, and can collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the deployment, configuration, and management of Snowflake cloud data warehouse environments.

Implement best practices for Snowflake security, performance tuning, and cost optimization.

Design and deploy ETL / ELT pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and integration across multiple sources.

Automate environment setup, schema migrations, and role-based access using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).

Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to ensure Snowflake meets enterprise data needs.

Monitor Snowflake workloads and optimize compute, storage, and query performance.

Maintain CI / CD pipelines for Snowflake objects and processes.

Provide technical documentation, deployment guides, and knowledge transfer to support teams.

Qualifications

Proven experience deploying and managing Snowflake Data Cloud environments in production.

Strong understanding of SQL , data modeling, and schema design.

Experience with ETL / ELT tools (dbt, Informatica, Matillion, Fivetran, etc.).

Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and integration with Snowflake.

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.).

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and version control (Git, GitHub, GitLab, etc.).

Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation.

Familiarity with modern data stack tools (Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Databricks, etc.).

Knowledge of performance monitoring and observability tools.

Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced) are a plus.
