Major Responsibilities :

The CNA delivers direct care to residents and patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and life care standards in skilled nursing homes. CNAs assists our residents with activities of daily living, personal hygiene and mobility; by prioritizing their wellbeing and ensuring they maintain their dignity and independence.

Assist residents with all aspects of activities of daily living.

Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents.

Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility.

Aid in daily tasks such as use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery.

Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.

Medication reminders.

Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status.

Conduct rounds to monitor hazards or incidents.

Assist in dining including escorting residents to the dining room, serving, and clean up.

Provide companionship and conversation.

Promptly and courteously answer call lights to determine residents' needs.

Transport residents and assist residents to walk.

Make beds and handle all linen in an appropriate manner to prevent the spread of infections.

Take and records vital signs, weights, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.

Qualifications :

Must be certified as a nursing assistant in the State of Texas, by the department of Health, within four months of date of hire.

Previous nursing facility experience preferred.
