Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to oversee our Process Engineering team. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing manufacturing processes across various client projects within a contract manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will drive process development, ensure quality control, and lead continuous improvement initiatives throughout the entire production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for a variety of contract manufacturing projects.
- Collaborate with clients and cross-functional internal teams to understand project requirements and design efficient, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and the contract manufacturing team, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and successful project execution.
- Establish, implement, and maintain robust quality control measures in alignment with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with quality management systems and industry standards.
- Partner with finance and procurement teams to manage project costs while maintaining product quality and profitability.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction and process enhancement.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including process workflows, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive process improvements and enhance efficiency.
- Oversee the selection, installation, and upkeep of manufacturing equipment, collaborating with maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Design and develop custom fixtures and tooling, including supplier coordination and procurement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing process yields, throughput, and productivity.
- Collaborate with internal and client quality teams to resolve manufacturing-related quality issues.
- Provide regular reports and data on KPIs related to manufacturing processes and performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in process engineering, ideally within a contract manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory compliance standards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.Experience in cost management, budgeting, and financial collaboration.Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and IPC standards.IPC certifications (IPC-A-600, 610, 620, and J-STD-001 or equivalent) are strongly preferred.Education and Experience
