They supervise and provide care to these patients utilizing the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nFollows established policies and procedures.\n\nCommunicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.\n\nProvides excellent customer service, interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.\n\nApplies Cooper's core values.\n\nPerforms Other duties as required.\n\nOverview\n\nCooper's Neuroscience Unit is a 16-bed ICU paired with a state-of-the-art Neuro Interventional Suite, which together form an integral part of Cooper Comprehensive Stroke Center. Our nurses provide expert neurological care in both settings to ensure seamless continuity of care for our patients across a wide range of neurological diagnoses. With the most advanced technology and providers, Cooper expands its capabilities to care for neurological patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The healthcare professionals take tremendous pride in teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition, we provide outreach to bring stroke and neurological education to improve community health.\n\nExperience Required\n\nA minimum of one year or more of acute care RN experience in an inpatient setting is strongly preferred.\n\nEducation Requirements\n\nGraduate of NLN-accredited School of Nursing\n\nLicense / Certification Requirements\n\nCurrent NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)\n\nCurrent American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers)\n\nCertain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e., ACLS, NALS, PALS)
