BayCare is currently in search of our newest Acute Physical Therapist Assistant who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Acute Physical Therapist Assistant Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional ADL (Activities of Daily Living) mobility interventions.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and families on exercises and techniques to support recovery.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, and occupational therapists.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
  • Adhere to infection control and hospital policies.

    • Qualifications :

  • Experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

    • Requirements :

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant)
  • Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months
  • Required Associate's Physical Therapy
  • Preferred 1-year Physical Therapy Assistant

    • Facility : BayCare Health System, Rehab Services Main-MPH

    Location : Morton Plant Hospital - Clearwater, FL

    Status : Part Time, Exempt : No

    Shift Hours : (Between) 8 : 30 am - 5 : 00 pm / Days

    Weekend Work : Occasional

    On Call : No
