Responsibilities
- Plans inventory per the sales forecast, to meet both customer service and inventory targets.
- Recommends improvements to inventory systems where errors could affect replenishment, financial position, credibility, or overall operation. Updates inventory records. Controls inventory accuracy and adjusts reorder points and par levels to meet changing demands.
- Identifies gaps between latest financial plan and demand plan across segment and region and escalates for appropriate resolution.
- Monitors and implements actions toward driving balanced scorecard improvements.
- Maintains interactions with global partners cross / franchise sector as appropriate.
- Develops contingency plans in response to sales / inventory changes.
- Executes processes on defined cadence including business rules and planning parameters (safety stocks and inventory targets), transportation lanes, replenishment methods, and process tolerance and triggers to enable an input-driven end-to-end planning process. Ensures these parameters are updated in the appropriate business systems.
- Leads cross-functional-segment special projects and events for continuous improvement.
- Supervisory responsibilities may be part of the role (e.g., COOPs, and / or consultants) as needed.
- Communicates business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
- If supervising staff, ensures subordinates follow all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that resources are available and in good condition.
- Ensures personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Preferred : Business Administration, Materials Management or Engineering.Minimum of 4 years related work experience required.Experience in supply chain within medical device, consumer, or pharmaceutical sectors preferred.Hands-on experience with inventory, planning, order management, MRP systems, and financials preferred.Experience with ERP (SAP / APO / SNP) and Advanced Planning Systems (OMP) preferred.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and database tools required.Green Belt Six Sigma Certification preferred.Process Excellence & CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management) certifications preferred.Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
