Position Purpose
The Facility Maintenance Associate plays a vital role in supporting this mission of Rolling Hills Community Church by working to ensure the church's building and campus remain functional, safe and well maintained. This position will focus primarily on maintaining equipment, assisting with repairs and supporting facility operations.
Essential Roles & Responsibilities
Assist with maintenance and minor repairs of facility systems, equipment and tools including but not limited to HVAC, lighting, plumbing, vehicles.Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of mechanical and operational systems.Perform routine maintenance on utility vehicles, tools, and machinery used on campus.Use computerized maintenance management system (Upkeep) to complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner.Support seasonal ground tasks such as irrigation systems, and inclement weather related projects.Coordinate onsite with outside vendors or contractors to help facilitate specialized repairs or services.Collaborate with Facilities Director and Facility Maintenance and Landscaping staff to identify improvement projects and safety concerns.Cross train with custodial team for set up and take down of equipment for church events and cleaning procedures.Knowledge / Skills / Experience
College Degree or equivalent trade or relevant experience2-4 years of experience in a similar rolePrior experience in facilities maintenance or similar roleFamiliarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical or irrigation systemsKnowledge of OSHA standards and basic safety practicesUnderstanding, knowing and aligning to mission / visionExcellent relational, interpersonal, problem-solving and rapport-building skills with both staff and volunteersExcellent self-management skills; able to lead teams or work independently depending on the needAdapts effectively to changing priorities and performs effectively in pressure situationsHigh attention to detailGeneral computer proficiency and willingness to learn / adapt to currently church softwareMust have valid drivers License for use of Church VehiclesWillingness to work flexible hours including some evenings and / or weekends as neededPhysical / Mental Abilities
