Healthy Pet has a current opening in our Jesup, GA plant for a Production Floater . This position will cover all shifts as needed and fill a variety of roles, including operation, packaging, and Floor Lead.

As a key member of our dynamic team, you’ll engage in a multifaceted role that combines hands-on operation of industrial process systems with management through Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems. This includes overseeing raw material input, water and chemical systems, screening equipment, bulk tanks, drying equipment, and packaging equipment, ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of our operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Wet End Operator :

Operates and monitors an array of raw material processing equipment equipment to ensure proper fiber input, flow rates, and consistency throughout the shift
Coordinates production with Supervisor, Floor Lead, Dryer Operator, and Pad Operator. Reviews production figures and work orders with the prior shift Operator at the beginning of shift. Notes peculiarities with product, production, or equipment operations. Adjust production rates accordingly.
Maintains communication with Dryer Operator throughout shift with regard to product status, quality, fiber consistency and production processing rate.
Oversees input of all raw materials
Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment. Ensures machines are running properly and all safety guards and panels are in place during production. Refers major mechanical repairs to maintenance, as needed.
Conducts and records sampling as instructed. Ensures product specifications are met and quality is maintained. Documents variances.
Operates a front-end loader to stack pulp materials and mix batches within the established recipe and timeframe
Inputs data for production reports. Ensures timeliness and accuracy.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment through diligent housekeeping
Ensures compliance with all safety protocols and SOPs
Performs other duties as assigned

Dryer Operator :

Operates and monitors an array of dryer equipment to control temperature, airflow, and retention time, ensuring product is dried to specification for moisture and density

Coordinates production with Supervisor, Floor Lead, and Wet End Operator. Reviews production figures and work orders with the prior shift Operator at the beginning of shift. Notes peculiarities with product, production, or equipment operations. Adjust production rates accordingly.

Maintains communication with Wet End Operator throughout shift with regard to product status, quality, fiber consistency and production processing rate.

Performs temperature, moisture, and density analysis as instructed. Ensures product specifications are met and quality is maintained. Documents variances.

Identifies various pulp fibers and their make-up. Adjust dryer operation as needed.

Performs preventative maintenance on trouble spots throughout the dryers, on conveyor belts, and in auger compartments to ensure that residue build-up does not impede proper operations

Inputs data for production reports. Ensures timeliness and accuracy.

Maintains a clean and safe work environment through diligent housekeeping

Ensures compliance with all safety protocols and SOPs

Performs other duties as assigned

Production Packaging :

Operates automated packaging equipment (baggers, sealers, labelers, palletizers) to safely and efficiently package finished product according to customer specifications

Coordinates with Supervisor and Floor Lead to ensure finished product is packaged to specification. Reviews production figures and work orders with the prior shift Operator at the beginning of shift. Notes peculiarities with product, production, or equipment operations.

Monitors equipment settings, product weight, and seal integrity to ensure consistent quality and compliance with standards

Adjusts equipment to maintain production rates, troubleshoot jams or malfunctions, and coordinate with maintenance as needed for repairs

Records data for production reports. Ensures timeliness and accuracy.

Maintains a clean and safe work environment through diligent housekeeping

Ensures compliance with all safety protocols and SOPs

Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

High School Diploma or GED

2 years of related operator experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience operating heavy machinery, production machinery, and controls
