The Director of Technology PMO will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, governance, and execution of technology initiatives within Mosaic's healthcare IT ecosystem. This leadership position is tasked with establishing and refining project management standards, methodologies, and best practices, ensuring the successful delivery of IT initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical operations, improving patient care, and driving business efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Define and articulate a comprehensive strategic vision for technology projects, ensuring alignment with the overarching objectives of the organization.
- Establish and maintain a robust governance framework that oversees project management processes, assuring compliance with industry regulations and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, IT teams, and key stakeholders to prioritize technology projects, ensuring they resonate with the organization's strategic goals and enhance operational
- Continuously monitor and evaluate project outcomes to drive improvement initiatives, optimizing both performance and the impact on patient care and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for the IT Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure consistent alignment with organizational objectives.
- Formulate governance frameworks and methodologies (including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches) that facilitate effective IT project execution.
- Oversee the portfolio management of all technology projects, ensuring judicious prioritization and optimal resource alignment.
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery, risk management, and change management processes.
- Provide executive oversight for large-scale, complex IT projects, such as clinical application implementations, digital health initiatives, interoperability improvements, cybersecurity enhancements, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget while upholding the highest quality standards.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, implementing effective problem-solving strategies and escalation management processes.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration among IT, clinical, operations, and administrative teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Serve as a crucial liaison between IT leadership and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment of technology initiatives with operational requirements.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and technology partners, ensuring accountability for performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Lead executive-level reporting on the health, progress, and outcomes of the project portfolio.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team comprised of project managers, business analysts,
- and program managers, cultivating a culture of excellence.
- Establish training programs and professional development initiatives to enhance the capacity and competency of project management staff.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning within the PMO, driving excellence in project execution and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferredCertifications : Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or Agile certifications are highly preferred10+ years of experience in IT project management is required, including at least 5 years in leadership roles within a healthcare organizationDemonstrated experience in leading large-scale, enterprise-wide IT projects, such as Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations, digital health transformations, and IT infrastructure initiativesIn-depth expertise in healthcare regulatory compliance, including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH, and ONC interoperability rulesProficiency in various project management software and tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and ServiceNowStrong knowledge of various project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise information disseminationProven ability to manage large budgets, complex timelines, and high-stakes projects within a dynamic healthcare environmentSkills in analyzing operational data to inform project decisions, leveraging insights to enhance project outcomesDemonstrated ability to build and foster collaboration among various stakeholders, including clinical, operational, and technical teams, to enhance project successCapacity to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentA proactive and results-oriented leadership approach with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards the achievement of project goalsStrong attention to detail to ensure precision and quality in all project deliverablesA commitment to delivering excellent service to internal team members and patients is essentialA high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions, fostering trust and respect among peers and stakeholdersAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentPhysical Demands
