  • Duration : 13 weeks\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Shift : 12 Hour Nights (Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday)\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1680 - $1800\n
  • Unit Details : 8 labor beds, 6 triage beds, 20 postpartum beds, 6 special care nursery beds\n
  • Technology : EPIC, Obix for tracings, GE monitors for fetal monitoring\n
  • Scrub Color : Navy Blue\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (required)\n
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)\n
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire)\n
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Labor & Delivery, OB, ED, or critical care (preferred)\n
  • Ability to float between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units\n
  • EKG exam required\n
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred\n
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills\n

    • \n\nLabor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care for women, newborns, and families in a family-centered environment\n
  • Float between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units as needed\n
  • Circulate and recover C-sections (scrubbing experience a plus)\n
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses\n
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement care plans\n
  • Educate and support patients and families on postpartum and newborn care, including breastfeeding\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team including midwives, OB laborists, anesthesia, and ancillary staff\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and hospital systems\n
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure patient safety\n
