Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Senior Metallurgical Engineer / Certified Weld Inspector to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Senior Engineer / CWI position performs a variety of routine and non-routine weldment testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.

Salary : $75,000 - $110,000 DOE

Responsibilities

Provide technical and engineering leadership on weldments, within the local laboratory and potentially across the Element enterprise

• Review and interpret customer requests for weldment testing for a variety of Aerospace manufacturers and Engineering Authorities
• Project manage requests thru the workflow and provide customer communication
• Perform weldment testing : visual examination under low magnification, optical microscopy of metallographic samples under high magnification, report writing and approval
