Telephone Operator

A company is looking for a Telephone Operator.

Key Responsibilities

Courteously and efficiently answers all incoming calls and connects callers with the correct extension

Takes and relays messages in an accurate and timely manner, responding to emergency and urgent calls from patients

Performs operator functions including triaging calls and maintaining the switchboard

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum two years of office experience, preferably in a medical setting

Ability to perform physical demands such as sitting for long periods and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds

Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment

Vision must be correctable to 20 / 20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts
