The Opportunity
Were looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our sow farm team. This role plays a vital part in keeping the barns, equipment, and farm systems operating efficiently. This role is the go-to resource for troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance helping ensure a safe, efficient environment for both livestock and employees.
What Youll Do
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on farm facilities and systems, including ventilation, heaters, feeders, water lines, and curtain controllers.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
- Complete preventative maintenance schedules on equipment and barn systems.
- Maintain tools, shop organization, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with farm managers and production staff to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
- Assist with special projects such as new equipment installations, remodels, and system upgrades.
- Follow all safety and biosecurity protocols in every task.
