Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager General Manufacturing I for its Armament Systems business unit in Plymouth, MN. The role supports PGK programs and leads a team of Engineering Technicians within the Operations department. The organization focuses on the development and production of Ammunition, Guns and Precision Guidance Ordinance, and emphasizes curiosity, collaboration, integrity, quality, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse team of Engineering Technicians in a dynamic product production environment.
  • Set and promote high standards for quality and safety.
  • Foster accountability aligned with Northrop Grumman values : integrity, quality, shared success, and innovation.
  • Partner with engineering and program management peers to ensure balanced and efficient resource assignments to support the PGK program and achieve key performance metrics.
  • Drive team technical excellence in production.
  • Balance PGK group workload and staffing to meet current and future program needs.
  • Coach direct reports in career development, performance, and teamwork; provide training and development opportunities; provide continual feedback and hold quarterly connections.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience; or 3 years with a BS degree or 1 year with an MS degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of project, program, or people leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to solve problems and drive continuous improvements.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree.
  • Strong general knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes.
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
  • Salary and Benefits

    Primary Level Salary Range : $93,100.00 - $139,700.00. The salary range is a guideline; offers consider scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may be applicable. Long Term Incentives may be available for certain positions.
