The opportunity

As a Staff, Mechanical Manufacturing Process Engineer you will work closely with electrical, optical, systems, industrial design, and mechanical engineering teams to design quality, high-volume consumer products. We are looking for candidates who are creative, energetic team players who excel in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

This position would be expected to perform as an individual contributor on a multi-disciplinary New Product Introduction team through development, design, manufacturing, and production release. Candidates must be highly innovative and enjoy working in dynamic and creative environments.

Location : This position requires being fully on-site at our Plantation, FL (HQ) facility, to ensure seamless collaboration and hands-on support for daily operations. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and optimize volume manufacturing processes, including the creation and execution of comprehensive qualification plans.
• Lead product and process improvements by driving critical design changes that enhance performance, quality, and manufacturability.
• Research, identify, and specify best-in-class equipment, ensuring alignment with production goals and technical requirements.
• Develop and implement equipment acceptance testing protocols, collaborating closely with vendors to refine and customize equipment solutions as needed.
• Coordinate production ramp readiness activities by partnering with mechanical, electrical, optics, systems, and operations engineering teams to ensure seamless scale-up.
• Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for opto-mechanical and electrical components or devices, ensuring timely resolution of manufacturing and product issue

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. In addition to salary, Magic Leap offers a discretionary bonus and a fully comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.
