Overview
PepsiCo’s Digital Transformation requires new business processes, new digital products and new operations outcomes. The transformation towards modern operations in an SRE construct is for all the programs under Digital products & Applications, to drive higher order outcomes for customers using our tools and products, enabled via a full SRE Practice incident prevention and proactive resolution model in the PepsiCo digital products application portfolio of 200+ applications. We are seeking a self-driven, forward-thinking Director - SRE Application Design & Solutions, an advanced subject matter expert in application architectures both traditional on-prem and cloud-native, and a seasoned leader of SRE application support to deliver.
Responsibilities
- Refine and deliver requirements for service enhancements with the product engineering team and Solution Architecture; collaborate with key product managers and stakeholders.
- Act as a technical leader in the global DPA team that drives, measures, and optimizes SLA / SLO / SLI and error budgets for product offerings.
- Lead the definition, collection and analysis of data relevant to product systems and their interactions to improve business process resiliency, especially impacting customer satisfaction, revenue or IT productivity.
- Develop and deliver SRE orchestration software solutions (Build, Buy, or Hybrid) to transform Modern IT operations into-as-a-service, ensuring anomaly detection, guardrails, and abstraction of IT interactions for seamless business continuity.
- Scale the SRE orchestration solution across cloud-native and traditional on-premise applications, enabling end-to-end ecosystem interactions, proactive health checks across business processes, applications, services and infra to identify deviations and automate recovery and reprocessing.
- Evolve PepsiCo as an industry leader in SRE and AIOps capabilities, partnering with internal Enterprise Architecture and external SRE practitioners.
- Provide evangelism and education across S&T with all levels of leadership to ensure awareness and alignment of DP&A Application Reliability & Assurance objectives and AI initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is between $1,25,900 - $2,49,900.Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary; recruiter can share more about the specific range during the hiring process.Bonus based on performance with target payout of 25% of annual salary; additional target payout of 10% paid over 3 years following the end of the performance period.Long-term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.Paid time off subject to eligibility, including parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.Comprehensive benefits package : Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, EAP, Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.Qualifications
16-20 years of experience in a cross-functional technology organization in partnership with sector leads, Global Software Engineering, Enterprise / Solution Architecture, Information Security.8+ years driving digital enablement across a global technology function.3-5 years of hands-on leadership in developing and delivering digital technology solutions with a north-star transformation.Adept with 5+ years of experience in hyperscale public cloud (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS).5+ years of experience in SRE application operations, continuously improving and transforming IT operations.Strong ability to communicate complex technical data to non-technical audiences; capable of strategic planning across multiple time horizons and partner teams.Experience building cross-functional relationships, driving consensus across virtual teams, and delivering results in transformational environments.Firm understanding of SRE and ITSM processes with a track record of improving service offerings, incident resolution, and proactive risk mitigation.Experience nurturing and leading high-performing teams.EEO Statement
