There is no sponsorship available and requires being onsite 5 days a week.

Product Development Engineer / Scientist

We are seeking a P roduct Development Engineer / Scientist to join our talented and diverse technical team in Malden, MA . This position will focus on developing novel coatings platforms from lab-to-scale to address customer needs. A bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or associated technical field is required.

Fluency in Mandarin, Spanish, or German preferred but not required.

Candidate must be legally allowed to work in the US.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop novel coating platforms, test metrics, and design experiments by working in a lab-based environment with minimal day-to-day guidance.
• Develop hypotheses and conduct experiments to improve understanding and performance of company's coating technology by coordinating with various team members.
• Communicate technical advances internally with other members of the company and interact with external vendors, independent testing laboratories, and customers to explain and troubleshoot application of the technology.
• Support scaling of coating from lab or pilot scale to a manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with sales or technical service to address customer requests.
• Expand company's coating portfolio by innovating on current coating technology and developing new coating platforms.
• Some international and domestic travel required.

This position is based in Malden, MA , accessible via the Orange Line .

The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $90,000 per year.
