Court Operations Associate
The Lane County Circuit Court in Eugene, Oregon, is hiring a Court Operations Associate. In this role, you will provide clerical support for the court by processing and managing all case types, performing data entry, and determining the appropriate next steps in multi-step processes. You will receipt court fees and reconcile the till, schedule hearings and trials, accept electronic filings, and review reports related to the status of cases. You will scan documents into the case management system and verify the quality of the images. You will also handle complex transactions involving warrants, attorney appointments, and payment plans.
Additionally, you will provide customer service by answering questions from court staff, attorneys, litigants, agencies, and the public about topics such as local procedures, the status of cases, court calendars, document entry, case processing, scheduling court proceedings, and jury duty. The support you provide will be in person, over the phone, and in writing. You will also process juror summonses, deferrals, excusals, and payroll.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications
The qualified applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent. AND have at least three (3) or more years of responsible experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving the processing of financial, administrative, or legal documents. OR any combination of education and experience equivalent to three (3) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is typically 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per workweek. Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required. Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds. Frequent phone and in-person contact with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances, highly stressful situations, or trauma. Long periods of sitting or standing to process a high volume of work. Regular use of the following equipment : telephone, calculator, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, printer, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.
