Role Description
The Lead, Data & Analytics Technologist solves complex technology problems in data and analytics. They define and evolve the technology direction, maintain data and analytics platforms, and collaborate across technology domains to develop innovative business solutions.
Key Accountabilities
- Promote empowerment of the team, ensuring each member is fully engaged and contributing meaningfully while maintaining a sustainable pace with high quality.
- Partner with clients to solve business problems and meet meaningful business goals.
- Act as an expert in a particular field of knowledge and provide detailed information and advice to achieve business outcomes.
- Develop and promote technical solutions that support business requirements within their area of expertise.
- Be accountable for specific deliverables in software or web development and / or support.
- Lead the technical activity within their area of specialization.
- Support the Head of Technology Enablement / Customer Enablement in managing customer expectations and implementing effective project governance.
- Engage closely with clients to understand business objectives and bring those ideas to life.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong knowledge of digital technologies and applicability to the water and wastewater industries.Expertise in data, mobility, GIS, collaboration, infrastructure, and deep knowledge of data and analytics.Demonstrated ability to apply technology to solve practical problems in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.Excellent decision-making and ability to balance what is right with what is realistic.Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.Leadership through influence, delivering results, and overcoming obstacles.High energy, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and ability to work well under pressure.Curiosity and passion for engaging line of business leaders in change fundamentals.Teamwork with diverse people across business lines and Technology & Innovation.Strong verbal and written communication skills for a wide variety of audiences.Creative problem-solving with attention to detail while maintaining the "big picture" view.Data engineering experience (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Python, Airflow, Kafka).Analytics experience building dashboards (Quicksight, Tableau, PowerBI).Data science, Jupyter Notebooks, AI, Machine Learning.Superior communication skills.Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems or similar technology field (equivalent work experience considered).Appropriate technical certification in data and analytics specialty area preferred.3–5 years experience in data and analytics technology field required.Experience with the water utility industry desired.Work Environment
Primarily in an office environment in Camden, NJ with a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office and 2 days remote).
Travel Requirements
Up to 25% as necessary.
