This role is responsible for ensuring all primary and secondary insurance is billed timely and accurately; supporting ICR staff with billing claims, edits, and follow-up questions; identifying billing errors that could be eliminated due to processes or unnecessary edits; developing and working SSI reporting; identifying process improvement areas of concern; working aging reports; and one-on-one training of new ICR staff.
Responsibilities :
Run daily claims and close daily charges.Ensure all primary and secondary insurances are billed timely and accurately.Identify potential systems and process issues which hold up timely billing.Collaborate with Patient Financial Services and reimbursement teams.Respond to patient escalated inquiries regarding billing or insurance claims.Oversee and support current ICR staff with billing functions as needed.Maintain and update all billing matrix and keep ICR instructions updated.Remain current on all payers and insurance billing regulations and compliance issues.Update processes accordingly.Manage and maintain all clearinghouse processes and reporting for errors, payer table maintenance, and payer enrollment.Collaborate with directors on any issues that may be impacting claims resolution.Review aging on untimely follow-up and deferred accounts.Audit aging accounts over 90 days.Other duties as assigned by management.Requirements :
High school graduate or GED.Prefer 2-3 years of healthcare billing experience.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong customer service and communication abilities.Benefits :
