Job Summary : The Truss Technician I position, is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the design of residential and commercial floor and roof trusses. This role will utilize design software, interpret architectural and structural drawings, and learn to create layouts and component drawings.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in reading and reviewing sketches, drawings, specifications, and engineering data provided by architects, engineers, and drafters.

Support the evaluation of design feasibility based on factors such as safety, function, budget, and market characteristics.

Generate truss layouts for final construction.

Learn to develop component documents for work orders to optimize cutting and assembly processes.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications :

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, making clear decisions in the best interests of the organization.

Ability to be self-motivated and work independently as well as work with a team.

Ability to effectively operate computer hardware and software.
