Security Officer- Armed Healthcare Patrols

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while your armed status supports the protection of the premises. You will interact with individuals throughout the location, providing exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $27.81 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Tue 06 : 00 AM - 12 : 00 PM

Wed 06 : 00 AM - 12 : 00 PM

Thur 06 : 00 AM - 12 : 00 PM

Fri 06 : 00 AM - 06 : 30 PM

Sun 07 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address issues as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry and exit to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and / or irregularities observed during patrols and throughout the shift.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment for all individuals at the location.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, following established protocols and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Level III Armed Certification is required for roles in Texas.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
