The Hershey Company Robinson plant is a non-union plant producing products such as PayDay, Heath, Skor, Milk Duds, Whoppers, and Reese's Pieces in a high-speed complex environment. The Yard Truck Operator position is responsible to maneuver trucks and trailers throughout the lot and offsite warehouse in addition to moving and unloading railcars consisting of bulk ingredients in and out of staging areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Comply with DOT regulations including truck weights and verification processObtain / maintain CDL requirementsComply with Food Defense and Food Safety practicesMaintaining product inventory levelsReview Trailor reports for incoming deliveriesCommunicate with dispatch and Inventory Planners on material needClean, inspect and lubricate equipment as part of our Autonomous Maintenance programObserve safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and good housekeeping practicesComplete safety and quality checks and associated daily production paperworkFork truck license requiredMinimum Qualifications :
Must be at least 18 years of ageMust possess a High School diploma / GEDMust be able to read, write, and comprehend EnglishMust be flexible to work any shift - 1st / 2nd / 3rd (8, 10 or 12 hour shifts)Must be available to work weekends, holidays and overtimeMust be able to lift up to 35-50 lbsMust be authorized to work in the United StatesMust be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.Basic computer skillsPreferred Qualifications :
Manufacturing / Food manufacturing with a minimum of 2 years experienceExperience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) practicesExperience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Autonomous Maintenance (AM)Experience with Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) / quick change-over processExperience with Continuous Improvement methodologyClass A CDLThe Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
