Gastroenterology Physician

24 hour shifts :

12 hour in house coverage (2 sites, 6 miles apart)

• 12 hour off site night call

11 / 26 7am to 12 / 1 7am

• Clinical Information :

Support Staff : only Mon - Fri, not on weekends

Hospital Support : PAs, RNs

• Practice Support : CMAs and PA
• Typical day :

Scopes in the morning, generally start them at 8 : 00am, but call does start at 7am

• Then rounding(patient care) and see any consults that are called in
• Then to 2nd facility for the same thing. 2nd facility generally doesn't have as many scopes, and not as many patients to round on
• Then back to the hotel on evening pager
• Patient ages : Adult
• Standard services from GI physician expected
• Daily patient volume : 27
• EMR : Meditech & PK

• Active SC License, CSR & DEA :

DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
