Job Summary : Gil Haugan Construction is seeking a self-motivated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have either a 2-year degree or at least 3 years of experience with automotive or heavy equipment. The Mechanic will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a variety of equipment, from small gas engines and small equipment to diesel engines on large construction equipment. This role ensures that all company equipment is maintained to industry standards, safe to operate, and reliable for use on job sites.

Key Responsibilities :

• Repair and maintain small gas engines, small equipment, and diesel engines on large construction equipment.
• Ensure all equipment and vehicles are safe to operate and reliable for job site use.
• Coordinate with external repair shops for tasks that cannot be self-performed.
• Advise company leadership on the status of equipment and recommend upgrades when necessary.
