This unit manages high-risk obstetrics, C-sections, and triage. Travelers must be confident working independently and comfortable with a high-acuity L&D environment. Unit Details : Beds : 14 total 5 triage / inpatient beds 6 labor beds 2 OR beds Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines OR cases : Nurses expected to scrub for C-sections Floating : Tasking in OB or Nursery (no patient assignments when floating) No holiday requirements for travelers Schedule Requirements : Every 3rd weekend (3 weekend shifts in a 4-week period) Requirements : Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience BSN required Certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP High-risk OB experience required Strong labor assessment skills Must perform cervical exams and full patient assessments Cannot place IUPC Preferred : NCC RNC-OB (Preferred but not required) Epic experience Technology / Systems : EMR : Meditech and GE Must document across two systems Additional Notes : Charge nurses typically do not take patients Highly customer service focused unit Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment No IV team; full patient care responsibilities In-house coverage available 3 nights per week Contact : HumanEdge Health HumanEdge Travel Healthcare Job ID 13262.
