Assistant Group Supervisor – Before & After School Programs
The Assistant Group Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the implementation of daily activities under the guidance of the site supervisor for the children who attend the before and after-school programs held in the elementary schools of Hempfield School District. The mission of SAC is to meet the needs of the local community by offering working parents a safe environment for kindergarten through sixth grade children to be supervised in a quality recreational and enrichment program during hours which extend beyond the school day.
This position is based on the Hempfield School calendar of openings and closures. Employment will begin the first date of school and end the last day of school. Employment start and end dates are subject to mandatory in service training, snow / emergency days and mandatory shut downs. Position is not paid when school is closed due to holiday, teacher in service, snow emergency closures, state mandated closures, emergency closure of any kind and scheduled closures according to the Hempfield School District calendar.
Education – The Assistant Group Supervisor shall have attained one of the following qualification levels :

Certificates, Licenses, Trainings – must be renewed annually
Required to complete : State Police and Child Abuse clearance, annual physical, bi-annual Mantoux tuberculosis testing, Basic First Aid and Fire Safety training, as well as six hours of additional annual training.

We offer a variety of programs, including seasonal camps, skills clinics, and personalized training, designed to promote health, teamwork, and athletic development.
Position Summary :
We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sports Coordinators, Trainers, and Coaches to lead and support our sports programs, including camps, clinics, and private / small group training. Candidates should have a passion for teaching and motivating athletes of all skill levels, with a focus on safety, skill development, and fun.

WORK ENVIRONMENT – The noise level in this work is usually moderate. There will be times an employee must be able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously due to the number of clients in class. You can teach in water or land. There are mats for use when teaching on land. There is a sound system available for use.
