Registered Nurse - Adult Central Intake

REGISTERED NURSE- ADULT CENTRAL INTAKE UNIT

    • JOB SUMMARY

    Provides direct nursing care to provides direct care to individuals served with behavioral health needs which includes supporting individuals served with coordination and continuity of evidence-based care for individuals and families in need through a collaborative process of triage, assessment, planning, and communication.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assess the physiological, psychosocial, and environmental needs of patients.
  • Implement the plan of care based on nursing standards and practice.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of nursing interventions defined in the plan of care.
  • Ensure accurate and complete required documentation by Behavioral Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Demonstrate competency in critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Monitor staff and continuous workflow of the unit.
  • Share professional and technical knowledge per policies and procedures.

    • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree from an NLN-approved program
  • A minimum of one year of psychiatric mental and / or behavioral patient care experience.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, families, employees, and the general public.
