About the Clinician's Workday

This position offers both day and night shift options. Day shifts (6 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.) include first assisting in the OR across multiple specialties such as General Surgery, OB / GYN, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Urology, Thoracic, and Organ Procurement. Responsibilities also involve placing pre- and post-op orders, handling consults and admissions, managing nursing calls from the ER, floors, and ASU, as well as rounding on post-op orthopedic patients during weekdays and general surgery patients daily. Night shifts (6 p.m. to 7 a.m.) focus primarily on consults and admissions, mostly in General Surgery, with occasional cases in Orthopedics, Vascular, Urology, and other specialties, along with nursing calls from the floors across all specialties.
