Job Description
Title : Industrial Engineer
Location : Westmont, IL
Salary : $70,000.00 - $85,000.00
Key Responsibilities & Duties :
- Perform duties assigned by and under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Identify, formulate, and solve complex production challenges to improve safety, quality, and cost.
- Develop and implement process improvements using engineering judgment and data analysis.
- Conduct experimentation to identify bottlenecks and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and reduce non-value-added activities.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator as a liaison among County Prestress, contractors, owners, architects, and erectors.
- Visit jobsites and production facilities regularly to understand production and erection procedures and address potential issues.
- Ensure all project phases meet schedules and customer needs, including production.
- Provide training on best practices and standardization of processes.
- Conduct audits of best practices and report deficiencies to the Operations Manager.
- Stay informed on industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices.

Education & Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related fieldExperience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to interpret technical data and make data-driven decisionsExperience in concrete manufacturing or industrial environments is a plusValid driver's license and good driving recordPosition requires local presence due to on-site responsibilities and occasional travelPhysical & Mental Demands :
The physical demands include sitting, talking, hearing, using hands, standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Reasonable accommodations are available.
