Overview
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, training, and support of Barfeeders, Bar Unloaders, and Chucks on CNC turning centers. This role involves establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with customers throughout North America while providing high-quality service and technical support.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site service and customer support during field visits.
- Manage the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment at customer sites.
- Diagnose technical problems and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the technical team to share insights and enhance service quality.
- Understand customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations for products and services.
- Demonstrate and educate customers on the Lexair systems and their functionalities.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers to ensure timely resolution of issues and proper follow-up.
- Utilize individual skillsets at the plant when not traveling to assist in various projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Likely to work in MTA Assembly when not traveling for field visits.
Qualifications
Education : Technical degree or certification in a relevant field.Experience : Proven field service experience, with knowledge of CNC machining.Skills :Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to address customer concerns effectively.
Proficiency in testing, repairing, and servicing technical equipment.Understanding of CNC controls, electronic circuits, and fluid power systems.Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong adaptability skills for diverse industrial environments.Ability to follow complex directions and communicate technical information clearly.Resourceful, with the capacity to work independently or collaboratively within a team.Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities.Dependable, ethical, and trustworthy.Professional presentation to customers as a Lexair team member.Physical Requirements
