Overview

Quality Assurance Engineer – Full-Time

The Veterinary Information Network (VIN) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our collaborative, Agile-driven team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering high-quality experiences for our members and ensuring reliable, robust software releases.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Coordinate testing activities, estimate and prioritize tasks, and ensure thorough coverage across the SDLC.
  • Perform functional and regression testing on new and existing applications.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues, document reproduction steps, and assist users in understanding tools and features.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, help guides, and release notes.
  • Develop and improve testing processes to support continuous quality improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and motivated by quality. They have multi-year experience in application QA, a strong understanding of QA methodologies and tools, and hands-on expertise in both white-box and black-box testing. Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Agile / Scrum processes, including user stories and product backlogs, are essential. This person is an excellent communicator, thrives in collaborative environments, and is adaptable and open-minded when approaching problems. They are enthusiastic about identifying and documenting issues early to help the team deliver high-quality releases efficiently.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in quality assurance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Salary and Benefits

  • Hourly rate : $40–$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
