Job Description
The Mother-Baby RN is responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, planning, and implementation of nursing care for mothers and their newborns. This role requires coordination with other health disciplines and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
Compiles database and formulates nursing diagnosis.Utilizes physical assessment and interviewing techniques.Determines priorities for patient care needs or problems.Monitors patient condition and reassesses as needed.Initiates and updates nursing care plans integrating scientific and psychosocial principles.Manages daily patient assignment and delegates responsibilities appropriately.Coordinates care with ancillary personnel and other disciplines.Executes clinical nursing skills independently and administers medications accurately.Implements appropriate emergency procedures as necessary.Engages in patient education and discharge planning.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
2 years experience in a Mother-Baby unit is required.Must be comfortable with a 1 : 8 patient ratio.Previous travel experience is required.NRP and BLS certifications are essential (must be active or willing to obtain within 48 hours of offer).Must possess a current RN license in Maryland.COVID vaccination status must be included in submission notes; declinations are not accepted.Why ARMStaffing?
