Hotel California by the Sea (HCBTS) is a dual-diagnosis drug and alcohol treatment center located in Huntington Beach, CA with other facilities located in Bellevue, WA and Cincinnati, OH. HCBTS is looking for a dynamic, flexible, and passionate individual to join our outstanding team as a Case Manager!
JOB DUTIES
Utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques to calm, comfort and stabilize distressed clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent clinical writing skills. Documentation is detailed, professional, thoughtful, and individualized.
Effective clinical communication skills in both individual (1-on-1) and group settings.
Capable of making sound clinical decisions when clients are at high risk for relapse and / or experiencing
significant negative symptoms due to behavioral health disorders / conditions.
Good time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds and
integrate cultural sensitivity when providing services.
Detailed working knowledge and experience in complying with HIPAA and other governing laws and
regulations to ensure the confidentiality, privacy, and security of protected health information and medical
records in the behavioral healthcare field.
Basic computer skills. Working knowledge and experience using electronic medical record systems. (KIPU)
Knowledge and understanding of The Joint Commissions behavioral healthcare standards.9. Plans, prioritizes, manages, and completes work duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner.
10. Participate in the continuous quality management and performance improvement process.
11. Complete compliance reports and provide support and assistance in the development and improvement of
clinical policies and procedures.
12. Assist in the clinical utilization review process as necessary and appropriate for clients continuing care.
13. Support and promote a treatment environment that is safe, healthful, caring, comfortable, supportive,
culturally-competent, and therapeutic.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Case Manager must be licensed / certified as one of the following in the State of California :
o Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LAADC)
o Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW)
o Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)
o Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor III (CADC-III)
o Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor II (CADC-II)
o Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor I (CADC-I)
o Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor III (SUDCC III)
o Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor II (SUDCC II)
o Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC)
o Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor V (CATC V)
o Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor IV (CATC IV)
o Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor III (CATC III)
