Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Eligibility Coordinator is responsible for screening and determining eligibility for all new and existing patients for all clinic services and programs, while upholding the ASQ (Access, Stewardship, and Quality) pillars at Elevated Community Health (ECH). The Eligibility Coordinator position is eligible for a $2000.00 sign-on bonus.

Essential Functions
Screen all new and established patients for eligibility for all clinic services by obtaining information related to the patient's financial status in accordance with established guidelines.Exhibit knowledge of programs that uninsured and underinsured low-income individuals may be eligible for and use that knowledge in questioning patients for eligibility.Use language and methods of communication to enhance the patient's ability to understand all services for which they are eligible, all consents, and their rights and responsibilities.Provide clear explanations when patients are found to be ineligible. Collaborate with the management team to reach the best conclusion about eligibility.Demonstrate respect for our patients and fellow care team members in every interaction.Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills to ensure coordinated efforts and patient satisfaction.Always maintain a professional and positive attitude.Demonstrate teamwork and support for fellow care team members by offering assistance as needed.Manage the ECH Membership Plan, including registrations, inquiries, enrollment, payments, and other related tasks.Additional Requirements
Grants are vital to ECH revenues and directly or indirectly support all positions. This role may involve responsibilities related to grant deliverables and other tasks.Complete all the required training as designated by HR and the position supervisor.Adhere to all organizational policies and those outlined in the ECH Employee Handbook.Comply with all ECH Vaccine Mandates.Comply with all applicable Credentialing and Privileging requirements in a timely manner.Embrace the ECH Mission and Vision and agree to work within the ECH Guiding Principles and the principles set by the position supervisor.Must participate in quality assurance and improvement activities as applicable.Qualifications

Education / Experience
Associate's or bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.A bilingual speaker in Spanish and English.Proficient in customer service skills, preferably in healthcare, but not required.Basic knowledge of digital systems (including Microsoft Office Suite) is required.Critical level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to de-escalate difficult conversations.Ability to work in high-stress situations.Nice To Have
Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or other community health setting.Knowledge of Medicaid, CHP+, Medicare, and private insurance eligibility processes.Knowledge of Colorado-specific healthcare programs and eligibility systems.Work Environment
