Technology Vendor Specialist role at On Location.
Role Summary
The Technology Vendor Specialist will play a central role in shaping and maintaining the operational integrity of our technology systems. Reporting to the Director of System Optimization, this role focuses on strategic, automated workflow execution, tooling lifecycle management, vendor coordination, and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Ownership : Maintain and improve existing operational SOPs, workflows, and documentation, and create additions where there are gaps.
- Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, proposing actionable solutions with an automation-first mindset.
- Serve as a key point of coordination across Technology and other teams for operational needs.
- Vendor & Contract Management : Coordinate and automate the vendor intake process, including managing related documentation and records.
- Manage requests related to onboarding and offboarding for all vendors.
- Partner with relevant stakeholders to track renewals, contractual obligations, and security documentation.
- Support efforts to evaluate tool redundancy, identify opportunities to streamline operations for cost efficiency, and identify unauthorized use of tools.
- Tooling Lifecycle Management : Oversee the internal technology tools and systems throughout their lifecycle, from intake to retirement.
- Partner with relevant departments to ensure technology policies and access management align with corporate standards.
- Maintain documentation, access tracking, and audit preparedness related to technology tools.
- Operational Reporting & Insights : Track and report on access volume, onboarding metrics, and license utilization.
- Collaborate with data and technical services teams to deliver reporting that informs business decisions.
- Create and maintain structured logs and templates for recurring reporting needs.
You Have These
Ability to assess vendors for compliance risks and support legal / procurement in documentation reviewsSlackOps experience and replacing manual processes with workflow automations (e.g., using Workflow Builder)Experience working in or alongside an enterprise IT, systems, or procurement teamPrior involvement in onboarding / offboarding workflows or user lifecycle managementExposure to access reviews, compliance audits, or security-driven operationsClear, effective communicator who can translate cross-functional needs into structured operational plansProficient in handling spreadsheets, creating reports to analyze data, and utilizing basic dashboard tools for monitoring key metrics and supporting informed decision-makingWe'd Love If You Also Have These
Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence platformBasic scripting (e.g., Powershell, Python), automation (e.g., Power Automate), and / or integration experience (e.g., Zapier)Travel
Travel is only required for offsites, workshops, and training / conferences / events.

Salary
Hiring Rate Minimum : $60,000 annually (minimum will not fall below applicable state / local minimums).
Hiring Rate Maximum : $80,000 annually
