Compensation Packages
Local Candidates (Hourly Pay) : $43-$50
Travel Candidates (Weekly Take-Home Pay) : $1593-$1718

Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Job Duties
Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in school and community settings
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success
Instruct students in the use of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and Braille literacy
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
Federal and State Requirements
Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field with certification in Visual Impairments
Current Texas teaching certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired required
Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Texas school districts
