Unit : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Nursing Resource (33 beds)

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 14, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour days

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,880 - $2,020

Patient Ratios : 1 : 4

Charting System : EPIC EMR (required)

Scrubs : Any color (navy blue preferred; no camo)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Washington State preferred

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or acute care nursing experience

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Strong clinical skills : cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach and BiPAP management, invasive line management, ostomy care, chest tubes, lumbar drains, IV medication titration, CIWA patient care

Experience caring for patients with respiratory distress, ESRD, AKI, COPD, GI bleeds, sepsis, post-op, CVA, ETOH, overdose, CHF, post Cath / IR, and CIWA

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to PCU-level and ED overflow patients

Float between Auburn and Covington healthcare facilities as needed

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment

Administer medications and manage IV drips and titrations

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely documentation

Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
