Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Community Liaison is responsible for strengthening Nexus Health Systems’ connections with referral partners, child welfare organizations, payers, and community stakeholders throughout Texas. Additionally, the position will support local community relationships for our San Antonio Residential Treatment Program. This role develops and nurtures referral pathways for all Nexus programs, including behavioral health, serious injury and chronic illness rehabilitation, and specialized spinal and brain injury services.
This individual serves as a trusted resource in the community, drawing on behavioral health expertise and established networks in child welfare and among referral partners and payers to ensure families and providers understand the unique programs Nexus offers.

Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with child welfare organizations, behavioral health providers, case managers, and payers.
Represent Nexus at community events, child welfare forums, and professional conferences.
Collaborate with clinical and program leadership to ensure smooth transitions for referred patients.
Accurately document referral activity and maintain current data in CRM systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in behavioral health or social services preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in behavioral health, child welfare, or related healthcare field.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and networking skills.
