Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of recent clinical experience and a valid SC license for a 13-week rural hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Inpatient physical therapist position in a rural hospital setting
  • Typical shift is 08 : 00-17 : 00
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Collaborates with a treatment team including regular meetings with PTAs
  • Responsible for evaluating patients and developing individualized physical therapy treatment plans
  • Duties include patient evaluation, forming treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based care
  • Involvement in patient, staff, and family education as necessary
  • Supervises PTA staff and collaborates on patient goals
  • Maintains an orderly, clean, and safe work area
  • Attends meetings and participates in ongoing professional development
  • Strict adherence to patient confidentiality and facility policies is required

    • Requirements

  • Current South Carolina PT license required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent inpatient clinical experience
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Ability to perform specialized testing and develop plans of care based on evaluations
  • Medical documentation in accordance with APTA standards
