Job Description : LearningObjectives :

Objective 1 : Professional Communication and Ethical Conduct

Students will develop professionalcommunication skills by answering phones and scheduling appointments,demonstrating a compassionate and confidential demeanor. They will alsolearn the ethical principles of privacy and confidentiality relevant to amental health setting, ensuring they can handle sensitive studentinformation with discretion. This objective focuses on the core skillsneeded to be the first point of contact for students seeking help, whichis crucial for building trust and ensuring a positive experience.

Objective 2 : Foundational Administrative and Organizational Skills

The students will gain hands-onexperience in administrative tasks by preparing materials for workshopsand new student orientation. This includes organizing documents, settingup presentation spaces, and coordinating resources. This objective willteach the student how to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, andcontribute to the smooth operation of departmental events, which areessential skills for any professional environment.

  • Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
  • Adhere to College's confidentiality policy;
  • Successfully pass background / drug screening;
  • Answer phone and take messages;
  • Clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying and faxing;
  • Open and sort mail;
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills;
  • Willingness to learn new technology;
  • Assist with special projects;
  • Other duties as assigned.
