Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit may possibly turn into a cancel.

This position will accept first-time travelers.

Locals are accepted.

The patient ratios are 1 : 5-6.

Unit will accept contracts for 13-16 weeks.

36 hours or 48 hours can be offered.

If 48 hours, no additional time will be billed until after the first 48 hours.

Float requirements are necessary.

Weekend shifts are required every other week.

Patients include those with renal issues and limb preservation needs.

Patient diagnoses include ESRD, ARF, vascular procedures, CHF, diabetics, and diabetic foot ulcers.

The unit is a 41-bed inpatient setting with telemetry capability and focuses on renal and limb preservation patients.

Patients who require hemodialysis will receive treatments in their designated unit.

Peritoneal dialysis patients will receive treatments on the unit initiated by the dialysis team.

The interdisciplinary team comprises hospitalists, RN navigators, RNs, NAs, and other support staff.

This team meets daily to ensure the best care is provided to patients.

Familiarity with patient care systems and charting is necessary, especially with Epic and Pyxis.

Self-scheduling is in place, based on unit needs.

Scrubs are not provided; candidates should wear navy or white.

Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting.

Travelers cannot work more than five days in a row or exceed 60 hours in a week.

Modules will need to be completed pre-start and annually.

Two manager or supervisor references from within the past 12 months are highly preferred at the time of submission.

Candidates must be comfortable floating within the hospital or to nearby facilities, with no restrictions or special requests.

A candidate's permanent address under 50 miles may be offered at a lower local rate.

RTO will be auto-approved for seven days or less, provided it does not fall on a holiday.

No RTO is allowed during the first week of the traveler's assignment.

Candidates must work two out of three major holidays.

Pending references at the time of submission are acceptable, but required at the start.

Travel pairs are allowed but must be submitted for different units.

Candidates should indicate their openness or flexibility to other locations, units, and shifts in their submissions.
