Memory Care Director – Heartis Village of Peoria

Location : Peoria, IL

Compensation : $85k+10% bonus

Special Year-One Bonus : $5K after 6 months + $10K after 12 months (in lieu of first-year leadership bonus). Standard leadership bonus begins in year 2.

Travel : 10%–20%

Discovery Management Group is seeking a Memory Care Director to lead our dementia and memory care program at Heartis Village of Peoria . This role is responsible for program development, compliance, and team leadership to ensure residents receive compassionate, individualized care and engagement. The Memory Care Director partners with clinical, activities, dining, and family support teams to create a safe, supportive, and life-enriching environment.

We are looking for a dedicated, resident-centered leader who can :

• Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of the Memory Care program.
• Develop and implement dementia-specific programming, activities, and Life Skills.
• Supervise and support care staff, ensuring compassionate and compliant service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal dementia care regulations.
• Partner with families through communication and support groups.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure holistic resident care.

As Memory Care Director, you’ll oversee the daily operation of the memory care unit, supervise care managers / CNAs, and lead programming that engages residents meaningfully throughout the day. You will also serve as a family liaison, ensuring communication, support, and care plan compliance. Success in this role is measured by quality of care, resident / family satisfaction, compliance, and team performance.
