Position Summary :
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU provides exceptional patient-centered care by utilizing the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. As an RN, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch care based on established protocols while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities :
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following all established protocols.Conduct thorough assessments of patients and accurately document findings.Administer prescribed medications and monitor for any side effects.Assist physicians during procedures as per your competency level.Work collaboratively to develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans.React promptly to medical emergencies and engage in life-saving measures as necessary.Advocate for patients' rights and needs during care delivery.Educate patients and families on medical conditions and care plans.Ensure adherence to infection control protocols to safeguard patient health.Utilize medical equipment safely and effectively as needed.Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.Document all aspects of patient care promptly and thoroughly.Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical competencies.Qualifications :
0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or applicable student rotations.Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Proficiency in the nursing process and clinical practices.Strong assessment skills and effective communication abilities.Ability to manage complex medical equipment and administer treatments.Attention to detail in documentation and adherence to safety standards.Licensure and Certifications :
Valid RN license (State Licensure or Compact State Licensure required).BCLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred.Check facility guidelines for any additional requirements.
