Description : JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing a therapy program to meet the needs of speech, language, and hearing-impaired students, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations.
This position is for 10 hours per week with the possibility of increasing to 20 hours per week depending on caseload.
- Schedule and provide speech-language screenings (including vision and hearing screenings), evaluations, Exceptional Student Education staffings, and therapy sessions.
- Oversee and coordinate ESE speech-language services, including the evaluation and staffing processes.
- Schedule and conduct all ESE meetings, including reevaluations and annual IEP meetings.
- Participate in problem-solving and child find meetings, as needed.
- Maintain all documentation and compliance in accordance to all federal, state and local guidelines.
- Provide speech interventions, as appropriate.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Requirements :
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree program at an accredited institution in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, or related fieldCERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
Valid and current Florida certification in field, or hold appropriate state license for position
