Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehab - Full Time (Binghamton)

Job Description

Position Summary :

The incumbent shall be responsible for providing quality care to medical and surgical cardiovascular patients of cardiac rehab services by supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase I III program that involves the patient and family. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary manner.

Education, License & Cert :

The incumbent shall, at a minimum, be a graduate of an accredited fouryear bachelors degree program in Exercise Physiology / Physical Education or related field. Current BLS certification is required.

Experience :

Education / experience in developing safe exercise prescription and education for the cardiac patients is preferred.

Essential Functions :

• Communicates and demonstrate a professional image / attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
• Participating in continuing education / professional development activities. Attends / presents at departmental inservice sessions as scheduled. Attends external professional growth activities as scheduled and communicates information to the team.
• Adhere to policies and practices of applicable federal and state guideline, and entity specific policies. Is familiar with and acts according to contents of applicable professional code, employee / handbook, unit Policy & Procedure and organizational policies.
• Meets established organizational productivity standards within a fiscally responsible manner.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality related initiatives and uses data to improve quality of care delivered.

Other Duties :

The pay range for this position is $22.53 - $35.69 / hr
