About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years’ experience required

License : Must have active state license to apply

Certifications : ACLS and BLS required, NIHSS preferred

Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Experience with gastrointestinal and genitourinary / renal management
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills / experience
• Medication management experience
• Experience with neurological and respiratory care
• Understanding of isolation precautions and wound care

Description :

Position requires experience in Intermediate Care and general onsite telemetry.

Daily patient census averages 38.

Candidates with first-time travel experience are accepted.

Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend.

Clinician may float to similar units to meet facility needs.

Patients typically include those with chest pain, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and other cardiovascular conditions.

Special procedures may include cardiac catheterizations and post-operative care from surgeries.

Required skills include heparin protocols, cardiac drip management without titration, and knowledge of telemetry monitoring.

Experience in using rapid response teams is important.

Candidates must be able to manage various equipment typically found in an acute care setting.

Floating within hospital facilities is mandatory.

Prior experience in a teaching or Level I Trauma facility is preferred.

Charting is done using Cerner.

Candidates should have experience with patient age groups typically found in acute care hospitals.

Those interested in this position should be prepared to work a flexible schedule.
