You’ll be our go-to partner for building budgets and rolling forecasts, modeling pricing and unit economics for satellites and ground systems, establishing inventory valuation methodologies and translating program realities into clear financial plans and decision-ready insights.You’ll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales and Leadership, owning the numbers behind growth. Responsibilities :
Own the annual operating plan and monthly forecast, maintain driver-based forecasts tied to headcount, build plans, launch cadence, and revenue and cash timing.Work with functional teams to implement budgets and manage budget to actual over and underspending Partner with Sales organization to model sales scenarios for imagery and analytics.Recommend pricing / bundling methodologies and support go-to market strategies.Create models to support “what-if” scenarios and recommend course of action Partner with Program Managers on satellite and ground development schedule and cost performance; analyze deltas vs. baseline, identify risks and recommend corrective actions Determine appropriate ground system capitalization and inventory valuation methodologies and work with accounting to establish landed costs, overhead pools / rates, direct labor, application to inventory and capitalization / amortization Develop and maintain multi-year financial model and lead transition from excel-based to NetSuite NSPB forecasting.Create formulas and algorithms that support departmental expense budgeting, revenue forecasting and inventory / ground system build, capitalization and depreciation Support government and partner contract submission process, establishing cost methodologies that optimize profit following industry norms and best practices Evaluate ROI for CapEx spend (facilities, test equipment, computers / servers, leasehold improvements, etc.), support make-vs-buy decisions and recommend best financial outcomes Work with Sales, Accounting and Legal teams to develop revenue recognition methodology and processes according to current accounting guidance.Implement automation, tracking and reporting in NetSuite and financial statements Establish forecasting and reporting rhythms coordinated with the accounting close to include budget vs. actual performance, growth / profit improvement recommendations and intuitive reporting (dashboards, bridges, etc.) for leadership.Prepare executive presentations and board updates Partner with People Ops on headcount plans; align req timing to budget and productivity targets Contribute to scalable finance processes and internal controls appropriate for a high-growth aerospace manufacturer Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (required).MBA preferred 5+ years in FP&A, program finance, cost accounting, or similar (aerospace / defense, hardware manufacturing, or complex project environments preferred) Advanced Excel skills required (Dynamic arrays, XLOOKUP, Index / Match, etc).Experience with NetSuite / Oracle NSPB, Adaptive Planning or related planning tools preferred Strong grasp of inventory / costing (standard cost, variances), CapEx / ROI, revenue recognition timing, and project accounting fundamentals Comfortable translating engineering and supply-chain realities into financial models and presenting trade-offs to executives Excellent written / verbal communication; crisp slides and storytelling Nice to have :
Exposure to proposals / pricing, government / prime contractor workflows, EVMS-style metrics, NetSuite experience, SQL basics Compensation : The salary range for this role is $120,000 – $130,000 DOE per year, depending on previous experience.Pay ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.Individual pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations :
