Description
Under the direction of the Shift Production Supervisor, as a Cheese Production Specialist team member, you will be responsible for providing bulk cheese to production lines and operating cheese cutting / shredding equipment.
This position is eligible for wage progression and shift differential as outlined below.
- Start : $24.37
- 90 Day : $25.74
- 1 Year : $26.18
- Shift differential : $1.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Perform manual lifting and carrying (approximately up to 40 lbs) by opening, cleaning and placing cheese on production linesRemove all packaging from cheeseInspect bulk cheese for mold or contaminants, remove and clean accordinglyLift and place cheese on conveyors (weight varies from 5 lbs to 40 lbs per lift)Operate all automated and manual cutting systemsMaintain record of bulk cheese usage utilizing RF inventory scannersPerform other duties as assignedQualifications
Ability to frequently reach, grasp, and lift up to 40 lbs and occasionally up to 60 lbsAbility to stand for long periodsCommitment to safety and qualityWillingness to learn and be a team playerAbility to visually inspect product for food qualityBasic math skills (reading and calculating)Consistent and reliable attendance to meet staffing and customer commitmentsComfortable in a climate-controlled environmentSmoke-free campus environmentAwareness that equipment includes robotic packers, erectors, sealers, moving belts, and forklifts may be presentOfferings and Benefits
