Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital setting on the Pediatric Inpatient and PICU units Patient population includes both general pediatric and pediatric intensive care with procedures such as continuous nebs, BiPAP, and DKA insulin drips Must be able to float to NICU to take grower / feeder assignments, to OB as helping hands, and to sit 1 : 1 house wide as needed Unit has 17 beds with PICU nurse : patient ratios of 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 and general peds ratios of 1 : 3 or 1 : 4 12-hour night shifts (1830-0700) with every other weekend and holiday required Uses Epic for EMR charting Responsibilities include managing a mixed acuity pediatric patient population and performing advanced pediatric care procedures Travelers typically receive a couple of orientation shifts May be required to float for coverage as needed across various units including NICU and OB Holiday shift coverage is expected per unit schedule Dress code is navy blue scrubs or a colorful child-friendly top with navy blue pants Must badge in and out of the facility each shift Previous Sanford Health employees must have at least a 6 month gap since last employment Requirements Active RN license in ND or compact state Minimum 1 year of pediatric RN experience required BLS and PALS certifications required and active at the time of consideration Ability to care for both PICU and general pediatric floor patients Experience working with Epic EMR preferred Cannot have a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618381.
